About this Summit
Tanzania Youth Digital Summit (TYDS) was created in 2019, and is hosted by Digital Opportunuty Trust (DOT) Tanzania and the Information Communications Technology (ICT) Commission. The summit is a national platform to mobilize and inspire underserved and disadvantaged young people with digital literacy, 21st century skills, and self-confidence to realize their potential in an inclusive digital economy. Our published TYDS Youth Voices Reports for 2020 and 2021 can be accessed for reference.
Our largest and most inclusive event since inception, TYDS 2021 was co-hosted by the European Union Delegation to Tanzania, and saw an unprecedented level of engagement from 2,700 youth across Tanzania Mainland, and Zanzibar, in partnership with the Government of Canada, UNICEF, and Segal Family Foundation.
This year's summit will convene 2,500 youth and stakeholders, with the aim of creating Transformative Youth Digital Spaces. What a delight to be Co-Hosting this theme with UNICEF Tanzania!
With Urgency, Collaboration and Learning guiding us in our journey, we welcome you to explore and co-create our sub-themes; ICT for Education, ICT for Youth Employment, and ICT for Climate Change.
